1. Composition & Definition:

Cetyl Alcohol 16 (98%) is a high-purity fatty alcohol with a minimum of 98% Cetyl Alcohol (C16). It is derived from natural sources like palm oil or coconut oil or produced synthetically.

2. Properties:

  • Appearance: White, waxy solid in flakes or granules
  • Purity: Minimum 98% Cetyl Alcohol (C16)
  • Melting Point: Approx. 48–52°C
  • Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in oils and organic solvents
  • Odor: Mild, fatty odor

3. Applications:

  • Cosmetics & Personal Care: Used as an emollient, emulsifier, and thickener in creams, lotions, shampoos, and conditioners.
