Uses: Activated
carbon is used for water purification, air filtration, and in gold recovery
processes. It is also used in medicine for toxin adsorption and as a catalyst
support.
Process: Activated carbon is produced by carbonizing organic materials
like wood, coal, or coconut shells, followed by activation using steam or
chemicals.
